Adjustments

Dr. Autumn is equipped with several different ways to provide an adjustment. She uses Diversified technique, Thompson Drop Technique, Sacral Occipital Technique, as well as instrument adjusting.

Cold Laser

Laser treatment is a non-invasive method to help reduce acute and chronic pain. This treatment is FDA cleared and enables patients to have an alternative to drugs and surgery. Laser treatments take just minutes depending on the condition being treated. The treatment must be administered directly to skin for better efficacy. You feel a soothing warmth as the therapy is administered.

Graston Technique

Dr. Autumn was certified in Graston Technique during her time at Palmer College of Chiropractic. It is an instrument assisted soft tissue technique. The instruments allow the physician to detect areas in the soft tissue that are not functioning properly and help to restore them. This technique is great for any kind of tendonitis, chronic pain, muscle adhesions, etc.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology tape is one of the newest techniques to hit the chiropractic world. It offers a medication-free way to control pain as well as stability without hindering range of motion. Professional athletes frequently use this tape and are making it very well known. Taping can be done for support, pain, inflammation, bruising, etc.

Therapeutic Exercise

After the acute phase, every patient is taught exercises that are specific for their case. These exercises will help to facilitate the adjustment and allow for a quicker recovery time. Strengthening areas of weakness will also help to ensure that the problem does not easily come back.

Interferential Stimulation

Interferential therapy is a type of electrical stimulation that can be used for multiple purposes. The main uses are for pain relief, reduced local edema, increased blood flow to an area, and muscle stimulation. The therapy is very comfortable and relaxing.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. It allows for relaxation of contracted muscles and increased blood and lymph flow to the treated area.

Dr. Blackburn helped diagnose me with an issue I didn’t realize I had and probably wouldn’t have realized I had for a long time. Thanks to her now we are working to correct the issue before it progressively worsens. I thank her for her inquisitive mind and her helpful soul.
